'The reality of America makes the Hunger Games look like a romantic comedy.'

Weeping with the truth of it. And also, a year of H4TK is a year where hope, community, connection are growing and spreading as we work toward Abolition, Liberation, Solidarity. Together, we can. We will. We have to.

One year anniversary. So many preventable deaths over the last 25 years in schools and beyond.

One year and look what we have. REFORM is not the answer. We need ABOLITION.

Happy one year anniversary, and also, weeping one year anniversary.

One of my biggest wake up calls from this movement has been how asleep I was on the simple truth that babies dying is wrong... period. Of course, I thought I knew that before. But now I REALLY know it, in my core. My commitment is to always try to raise this fact to those in front of me who are where I was. I am so grateful to this community, and at the same time, hope we can see enough change that our movement is no longer needed. ✌🏼❤️🇵🇸

It becomes more evident everyday that our country does not give a shit about kids. Not Palestinian kids and not kids of the US.

The military industry needs to be abolished. In December there was a mass shooting at my University (Charles U.) in Prague, Czech Republic where 10 students were killed. And another attempted mass shooting happened this month on my campus. Both were American automatic weapons (AKs) which are illegal in this country but are *somehow* making their way around Europe at an alarming rate ever since Israel began escalating the genocide of Palestinians. When my class was finally informed (the day after) even though the university admitted they had been warned the morning of the incident a white man in my class responded in a group chat “where can I buy a gun.” 😰😳No one is safe as long as the American war industry keeps getting funded “in the name of freedom.” Unreal how many people still believe this sociopathic narrative
